Roast Turkey in US

In the United States Of America, the traditional Christmas meal is often a roast turkey, served with cranberry sauce and two sorts of stuffing: the usual breadcrumbs, herbs and onion version and another sort made from cornbread.
Americans like to serve mashed potatoes with their meal, rather than roast potatoes.
But the United States is made up from people of many different lands, so different cultures have lots of special dishes to enjoy. For example:

Italian-Americans cook crostoli, a fried bread made with orange peel.

German-Americans like Pfeffernuesse, which is a sweet, spiced bread.

In New England, families sometimes serve Lumberjack Pie, which is made with mashed potatoes, meat, onion and cinnamon.
The people of New Mexico make Empanaditas, which are beef pies made with apple sauce, pine nuts and raisins.
