World’s Largest Aquarium Opens in Singapore

Can you imagine seeing 100,000 different marine animals – in almost twelve million gallons of water?  That’s exactly what you would see if you went to the S.E.A. Aquarium, which just opened last month in Singapore.

Georgia Aquarium’s glass tunnel. Doesn’t it look like fun to walk through?

Until now, the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, U.S., had laid claim as the largest aquarium in the world – but this one, amazingly, is even bigger!

In Singapore’s aquarium, you can view sea life through a clear glass panel that’s 36 meters wide and over 8 meters tall – the world’s largest.

It has 10 separate sections featuring 800 different species of sea animals in 49 different habitats.
